Agencies Gearing Up for Next Round of Grant-Funded Training
Clark, New Jersey, September 6, 2022 – Act-Cess client agencies and associations are gearing up for individual applications or to form consortia for the next round of grant-funded training. The NJ Department of Labor (DOL) and Workforce Development is expected to announce the FY2023 Upskills Training Grant for Incumbent Workers this Fall. As in previous years, the purpose of said grant is for approved employer-sponsored training. The DOL website – https://www.nj.gov/labor/research-info/grants.shtml – states the “Grant program is open to the following New Jersey applicants:
- Single employers seeking to train their employees
- An employer organization, labor organization, community-based organization or faith-based organization; secondary or postsecondary school or training provider seeking to meet the collective training needs of an industry-specific consortium of employers.”

Act-Cess USA, Inc. is Recipient of Founders First 2022 Job Creators Quest Grant
Clark, New Jersey, July 28, 2022 – Act-Cess USA, Inc. is being awarded the Founders First 2022 Job Creators Quest grant money, a full tuition scholarship to the Bootcamp accelerator program for diverse founders, and a network of experienced entrepreneurs and partners. Act-Cess CEO Joe Runkle and Director Treena Rivera will participate in said entrepreneurship Bootcamp.
NJAMHAA Members Receive Skills Upgrade and CEUs from Grant-Funded Training
Clark, New Jersey, June 13, 2022 – A consortium of fifteen agencies, consisting mostly of members from the NJ Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies (NJAMHAA) and led by its affiliate, the NJ Mental Health Institute (NJMHI) received a training grant. The consortium was awarded $150,000 to pay for training by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development Upskills Training Grant Program for the contract period June 2022 to June 2023. Most of the courses offer continuing education units (CEUs) which are valuable for employees looking to secure or renew their clinical licenses.

Act-Cess USA, Inc. Receives Another NJ Department of Labor Training Grant
Clark, New Jersey, June 13, 2022 – A consortium of fifteen human resource agencies led by Act-Cess USA, Inc. was awarded $150,000 by the New Jersey Department of Labor Upskills Training Grant Program for the contract period June 13, 2022 to June 12, 2023. Training includes clinical topics that lead to valuable skills and credentials such as Crisis Management, Nurtured Heart Approach, Motivational Interviewing, Case Management on Gender Issues, Vicarious Trauma, among others. Focus this year is on finding ways to address the staffing crisis with classes on Supervisory, Performance Management, Re-engagement and Recruiting, Conflict Resolution, Critical Thinking, Diversity, as well as Safety in the Community. Workshops on Strategic Planning and Streamlining Work Processes are designed to sustain and help the agencies thrive in post-pandemic environment.
